Using IO pins to short a system

Hi there! First of all I love my sodaq one, its super awesome! We are using it for all sorts of cool projects. One of the projects monitors old stupid tech, I’m not going to mention what exactly. But sometimes this old tech freezes up and it works again after rebooting it. This can be done by shorting the battery wires. This led me to an idea.

Question :
Would it be possible to use the IO pints to create a short on the battery wires of the other device? So basically the IO pints will open up to create a bridge between positive and negative. Seems possible

You can probably do it using a relay.

Have a look at this example (it was written for the Mbili):

Thank you, I will try that! I have just ordered relays
