NB-IoT connection SARA R412M

Is there anyone who has actualy connected with an IoT network? I’m trying to follow the steps for the R410M (T-Mobile commands for SARA R410M) but I’m not sure if that’s working.

There also seems to be no new firmware for the R412M?

Commands from AT commands like:
AT+NCONFIG=“CR_0354_0338_SCRAMBLING”,“TRUE”
AT+NCONFIG=“CR_0859_SI_AVOID”,“FALSE”
AT+NCONFIG?
AT+NCDP=“172.27.131.100”
AT+CNUM=?
All return with ERROR

When I follow the commands from the T-Mobile example all is going well till:
AT+COPS=1,2,“20416” Sometimes CME ERROR: SIM failure
OR
AT+CGPADDR (I never get an address)

When diving into this issue I find that scrambling is needed to connect with T-Mobile or Vodafone https://forum.u-blox.com/index.php/19104/r410m-support-configuring-customizable-aspects-sara-modules

But the AT+NCONFIG commands fail, is there an other way to enable scrambling?

Hi @Jan @GabrielNotman / sodaq engineers,

I’m struggling realy hard to get the R412M connected with the network of T-Mobile. Can anyone please respond if it’s possible to connect with a R412M or are there still issues?

Currently I’m able to get a GPS fix, but not a connection to any network. Do you have a working example (AT codes) for connecting? The commands for the R410 do fail. The commands to NCONFIG also.

Kind regards

Hi,

I have been struggling (and still am) with the R412M module to get GPRS connection, but I got NB-IOT working. This is the AT command sequence that works for me on the Belgian Orange network:
AT+NRB
AT+URAT=8
AT+URAT?
AT+CMEE=2
AT+CGDCONT=1,“IP”,"“some-address”
AT+CGCONT?
AT+CFUN=1
AT+COPS=0
AT+CSQ
AT+CREG=2
AT+CREG?
AT+CGPADDR
AT+USOCR=17
AT+UDCONF=1,1 // VERY IMPORTANT TO SWITCH TO HEX MODE (at least in my case)
AT+USOST=0,“some-ip”,port,payloadSize,“payload”
