I was trying to develop my application with Atmel studio and I erased the memory of the microcontroller, What firmware can I flash to the micro to return the board to its original state?
You can use an Atmel ICE to reflash the Arduino bootloader.
Follow the steps to install the Arduino IDE and SODAQ SAMD boardfiles.
In the Aruino IDE under “Tools”
Select SODAQ Explorer as your board.
Select Atmel ICE as your programmer.
Run the option “Burn Bootloader”
This should restore the Arduino Bootloader for the Explorer.
I have the Atmel SAM -ICE and I selected it on the arduino IDE to burn the bootloader but I got an error and cannot flash the bootloader to the board. It seems that I have to change something in Arduino to get it to detect the programmer I still don’t know how.
Does anyone know how to do this part?
To burn the bootloader you need to have the Atmel-ICE connected and also the usb port to supply power to the chip.
If you still have issues, can you send the error you get from the Arduino IDE?
