SODAQ One remote re-configuration via TTN Downlink message

I wan’t change the GPS Fix Intervall default value remote over TTN Downlink. Since I have found different statements in the forum, I’m not sure about the byte order of the TTN Downlink.

Is it correct, that the following downlink payload puts the default GPS fix interval at 20 minutes and the GPS timeout at 120 seconds?

00 14 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 78

Thanks for help
Carol

Hi @Carol,

The byte order is indeed little endian. 00 14 = 20 minutes and 00 78 = 120 seconds for the GPS.

Best regards,
Jan

Hi Jan,
I did send the downlink 00 14 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 78 to the cow tracker (sodaq one V3) as you told me. Now the cow tracker don’t send any uplink since 24 hours!!!

It seems to me, that the byte order is big endian, as it was posted under

Please could you verify the correct byte order in your technical team!
How can I now correct the problem, because I can not do it over the USB connection on the sodaq one board. The cow with the tracker is to far away :unamused:

Hi @Carol,

Apologies, I see I made a mistake by trying to respond to all questions quickly after my holiday.

The byte order on the microcontroller is little endian.

In big endian the string will be like you mentioned:

00 14 and 00 78 have to be converted to little endian.
Results in 14 00 and 78 00.

So the correct little endian string would be:
14 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 78 00

I hope this won’t cause any big problems at your end.
00 14 will results in one message every 3,5 days.

Again apologies, I hope your device will recover soon!

Best regards,
Jan
